The Founder
Dr. Bassem Emad
Dr. Bassem Emad graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Cairo University in 1995. He embarked on his career by joining the Egyptian Armed Forces in January 1997, where he graduated as a 1st Lieutenant Dentist from the Egyptian Military Academy. Over his 18-year tenure in the military, Dr. Emad attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and earned his MDs from Cairo University in collaboration with Hong Kong University. His research during this period garnered the prestigious Harold Ellis Prize for the best published article in 2006 from the International Journal of Surgery. Following with his military service, Dr. Emad participated in a training program organized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and the Military Dental Academy. He played a crucial role in establishing the memorandum of understanding between these certifying bodies. Dr. Emad achieved the MOMS RCPSG and MOS RCSEd, which further propelled his career in the faculties. He was granted the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS) RCPSG in 2021 and the FDS RCSEd in 2022. Additionally, he earned a Fellowship of the College of General Dentistry, London, in 2023. His exemplary contributions were recognized with an appointment as the Specialty Advisory Board member of Oral Surgery & Oral Medicine RCSEd in 2023. In 2024, Dr. Emad joined the Examination Board as an Examiner for the Membership of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the Diploma of Oral Surgery RCSEd.
